Esther Daphne,
Born in Maitland NSW on 11th August, 1916.
She died 26th October 2006 aged 90, after battling Alzheimer's Disease for years.
Daphne came from a family of 8 children.
She married her beloved Keiran at 21, had two children Iris and Des, but her husband was killed during WW!!.
She later remarried, had another 4 children only to lose her second husband to a cerebral anuerysm, He was aged 40.
Daphne worked hard to raise her children, doing an admirable job and making sure we all had everything needed. She sometimes work up to 4 jobs just to make sure of it.

Daphne did a lot of work with the Salvation Army, for years she gave of herself tirelessly to help others. She even went to aged care facilities and did song and dance to entertain the residents who were often younger than herself.

As her alzheimer's progressed, she slipped further and further into a world that didn't always remember us.

She fought a long and gallant battle, finally passing at 90.

Always loved and always remembered.
I will miss you my darling Mum

My sweet Nanny,

Nan,
I will forever hold sweet memories of you. Spending time with you in Carnegie when I was young, eating your yummy lemon slices.
Then later on when the Alzheimer's took hold of you I will never forget coming to see you, puting moisturiser on your face, holding your hand, touching your soft hair & whispering all my hopes & dreams in your ear. I know you heard them all & I know you will always be watching over me. I love you Nanny.
Love always & forver
Your Granddaughter,
Kirsti

My Mother, My Friend, My Strength

Mum, Words can never express the sorrow I feel , there is a huge piece missing from my heart , the part that makes me whole. Your were so strong, and so brave Mum, you faced things that most of us never will, with such dignity.
You understood me, never judged me, and you were always there for me, to listen quietly.
I think of your strength & endurance now, and I know that when things may get me down, I can call on you, and you will be there, the angel on my shoulder to help me through. Your guidance will be there for all that follow, as their special Angel too. Till we are together again, may you smile
with your love, on us. Every sunny day is a daphne day.
love Kay

My Treasured Mother

Mum,
Your passing has left a huge hole in my life. I don't know how I will get through not seeing you each week and not brushing your hair back from your face.
I will never forget our special times or the love you showed so freely.
You were and will remain the most beautiful of Gods creations.
I will love you and miss you forever.
The world has lost a very special and giving person.
Resting now with loved ones, forever in my heart.

My Darling Mum

Mum, you were a truly amazing woman, you gave of yourself so willingly and with love. You worked so hard and gave up so much to ensure that all of your children never went without.

You taught us all to be strong and capable and never give in to lifes' trials. You never had an easy life, you loved and lost so much, but always remained strong for your family.
I just wish that I had been able to be with you more often through the later part of your life, to be there with you to hold you and comfort you when you needed it, to tell you how much I love you, but distance made that so hard.

I know in my heart that you always knew the love I have for you and sent out to you.

Mum, I love you and miss you so much, I will cry for you forever.
Rest now my Darling Mum
I will love you always
